Refund Policy

When and how we issue refunds. Written in plain language.

The General Position

REN is a digital subscription service. By accepting your subscription, you ask us to begin delivering the service to you immediately. Under United Kingdom consumer law, this counts as digital content delivered with your consent before the end of the standard fourteen-day cooling-off period, which means the statutory right of withdrawal does not automatically apply once we have started providing the service.

The terms below describe the refund rights that REN provides on top of, or in clarification of, that statutory position. They apply to all subscriptions purchased from ren.sc. Subscriptions purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system are governed by Apple's refund process, described separately at the end of this page.

Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly MEMBER and Seed subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account dashboard or by writing to [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused time on a monthly subscription. The platform remains available to you until the period ends.

Annual Subscriptions

Annual MEMBER and Seed subscriptions can be refunded in full within fourteen days of the initial payment, provided you write to [email protected] within that window. After the fourteen-day period, no pro-rata refund is issued; the subscription continues to the end of its annual term and may be cancelled at that point to prevent renewal.

Annual subscriptions that are auto-renewed are not refundable after the renewal charge unless we agree otherwise in writing. To prevent renewal, cancel through your dashboard or write to us at least seven days before the renewal date.

The Seed Price Lock

Seed-tier members hold a price locked at £12 per month, for the lifetime of their continuously active subscription. If you cancel and later return, you will return at the standard MEMBER rate of £24 per month; the locked Seed price is forfeited at the moment of cancellation. This is set out in our Terms of Service and is reiterated here for clarity. Refunds for an active Seed subscription follow the same monthly or annual rules described above.

ATELIER (Agency Tier)

ATELIER subscribers may request a full refund of their initial payment within fourteen days of that payment, with no questions asked. Write to [email protected] from the email address registered to the agency account.

After the initial fourteen-day period, normal cancellation terms apply. Annual ATELIER subscriptions are refundable on the same basis as annual member subscriptions, namely a full refund within fourteen days of payment and no pro-rata thereafter.

Suspended or Terminated Accounts

If we suspend or terminate your account because you have breached our Terms of Service, no refund is due for the unused portion of your subscription. If we suspend or terminate your account for our own operational reasons (for example, withdrawing the service), we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid annual subscription on a pro-rata basis.

Apple In-App Purchases

If you subscribed through the REN iOS app via Apple's in-app purchase system, refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's process. We are happy to support a refund request you make to Apple, but the decision rests with Apple under their published policy.

How to Request a Refund

For all refund requests other than Apple in-app purchases, write to [email protected] from the email address on your REN account. Include the date and amount of the payment you would like refunded, and a brief note explaining the request. We aim to respond within five working days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, typically within ten working days of approval, depending on your bank.

Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy reduces or affects your statutory rights as a consumer under United Kingdom or European Union law. If a service we have charged you for was not delivered, was materially defective, or was misrepresented at the point of sale, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of the timeframes above. Write to [email protected] in such cases and we will review promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to members by email at least thirty days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
