Terms of Service

The Parties

These terms are an agreement between you (the "member" or "you") and Hunpera Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as REN at ren.sc (referred to in these terms as "REN", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, applying for an invitation, accepting an invitation, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen years old to use REN. You must provide accurate information in any application or account, and you must keep that information up to date. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any account that we reasonably believe has been opened in breach of these terms.

Membership and Pricing

REN operates by invitation. The standard MEMBER subscription is £24 per month or £240 per year. The Seed tier, limited to the first fifty members, is £12 per month, with the price locked for the lifetime of the subscription. The ATELIER tier for agencies is £199 per month or £1,990 per year.

Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your account dashboard or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for unused time on monthly subscriptions.

The Seed Price Lock

Seed-tier pricing is non-transferable and is forfeited upon cancellation or termination of the subscription. If a former Seed member subsequently reactivates their subscription, they will be enrolled at the standard MEMBER rate of £24 per month. The locked Seed price is a benefit conferred on the original founding fifty for as long as their subscription remains continuously active.

ATELIER Refund Policy

Agency subscribers on the ATELIER tier may request a full refund of their initial payment within fourteen days of that payment. To exercise this right, write to [email protected] from the email address on file. After the fourteen-day period, normal cancellation terms apply and we do not pro-rate refunds.

Your Content and Our Licence

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to REN, including photographs, captions, tags, atmospheric metadata, and any text written into your profile. We do not claim copyright over any of it.

By uploading content to REN, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to host, store, transmit, and display that content for the sole purpose of operating the platform on your behalf. This licence ends automatically when you delete the content or close your account, save for cached or backup copies that are erased on the schedule described in our Privacy Policy.

You must have the right to publish whatever you upload. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights of any third party.

Editorial Standards and the Aesthetic Guard

REN reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to reject any photograph, caption, or other piece of content that does not meet our editorial standards. This judgement is exercised in part by an automated system known as the Aesthetic Guard and in part by manual review. We do not provide individual reasons for rejection. Repeated submission of content that does not meet our standards may result in suspension of your account.

This editorial discretion is fundamental to the value the platform provides to its members. By using REN, you agree that we may exercise it without notice and without liability.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use REN to publish unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or sexually explicit material; to impersonate any person or entity; to circumvent any technical limitation of the platform; to attempt to access another member's account; to scrape the service at scale; to reverse-engineer the software; or to interfere with the operation of the service in any way.

Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, if your use creates a legal or operational risk to the platform, or if we reasonably believe such action is necessary to protect other members. Where reasonably possible we will give you the opportunity to cure the breach before terminating.

You may close your account at any time through the dashboard. Upon closure, your published profile will be removed. Your REN Number is permanently retired in your name and will not be reissued to anyone else.

Warranty and Liability

REN is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations, express or implied, that are not stated in these terms. Nothing in this clause limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to the previous paragraph, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the platform shall not exceed the total fees you have paid us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data, except where caused by our wilful misconduct.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim brought by a third party arising out of content you have published on REN or your breach of these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where a change materially affects your rights or your subscription, we will give existing members at least thirty days' notice by email before the change takes effect, and you will have the right to cancel without penalty during that period.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any such dispute, except where the law of your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
